Lambeau Leaps to the Leading Edge of Stadium Foodservice

Prior to the Green Bay Packers kicking off football season last year at Lambeau Field, the foodservice team was hard at work creating a new fan food experience. Called Melotte Marketplace after its sponsor, local meat processing and wholesale distributor Melotte Distributing, the foodservice offering includes six upscale concession stands in an open-concept environment.

Renovation Turns Dining Hall into Destination for Auburn University Students

Auburn University’s Village View Dining Hall had become dated since its opening in 2010. The facility sits near the eight residence halls that make up The Village Community and is also near the basketball arena and football stadium. One side of the building contains chain concepts including Chick-fil-A and Toro Sushi, as well as War Eagle Supply Co., one of several convenience stores the university operates. The other side contains a residential dining operation, Tiger Zone. Students and other customers didn’t feel they were getting the proper value for the menu items offered in the residential dining area. They also wanted a place to study, hang out and socialize with friends, in addition to having a meal.

Northrop Grumman: Dining Takes New Form at Aerospace Corporate Campus

Northrop Grumman launched its new Chandler, Ariz., campus as the home for its aerospace launch vehicle design, development and manufacturing business. The 633,000-square-foot campus supports national defense and space launch projects, including missile defense programs for the United States Air Force, NASA and the National Reconnaissance Office, as well as commercial customers.

High-End Asian Cuisine Comes to San Manuel Casino

An upscale Asian restaurant and bar offers guests at San Manuel Casino a dining and beverage experience never before available at this 30-year-old property that sits 60 miles from downtown Los Angeles. Hong Bao Kitchen, which features cuisine found throughout China and surrounding regions such as Vietnam, Korea and Japan, operates from between two new gaming spaces: high-limit tables and a high-limit slots room. The restaurant, which sits on the first level of the casino, replaces a sports bar and grill.

New Student Dining Facility Turns Kitchen Inside Out

The first phase of the Merced 2020 project concluded in August 2018 when the University of California, Merced (UC Merced), celebrated the opening of two structures: a 600-seat multipurpose central dining commons and new classrooms.

Peterson Dining Hall at Camp Southern Ground

“We can unleash a remedy of love into the world by investing in children with our resources so they can overcome limitations.” This belief, conveyed by multiplatinum Grammy Award-winning music artist Zac Brown, explains the passion Brown brought to founding Camp Southern Ground (CSG) in Fayetteville, Ga.

Brown donated 400 acres of beautiful farmland to fulfill his vision for CSG, a nonprofit, state-of-the-art facility that extends beyond the typical camp experience. He continues to support the camp with financial donations; the camp also receives funding through corporate and private donations.

Renovation and Program Reconcept Transforms Restaurant

The Florence features a unique dining opportunity in northeastern San Diego. Kilroy Realty Corp. owns the three-building Kilroy Sabre Springs business campus that houses The Florence, which sits in a highly saturated residential area. Kilroy partnered with Legal Restaurants Group (LRG) to develop the restaurant in the hopes of enticing commercial building tenants to remain on site during meal periods and to serve neighboring residents and the surrounding community.

New Central Culinary Center and Cafe Bring Consistency, Efficiency

A new central culinary center and cafe serve residents and guests at Menno Haven Retirement Communities, a continuing care retirement community in Chambersburg, Pa. Both the culinary center and cafe reside in the new rehabilitation center, part of Menno Haven’s 5-year, $100 million strategic plan named Project Genesis. The rehabilitation center replaces a portion of the original 1964 nursing home. The larger plan includes the addition of a 35,000-square-foot Resident Life Center, the addition of Memory Care Houses, a new healthcare center and new independent living cottages.

Fresh Start for Room Service and Retail Services

Four years ago, Mercyhealth expanded into northern Illinois when it merged with Rockford Health System. Since the merger, Mercyhealth has invested more than $1 billion in the Rockford region to improve access to primary and specialty care services, hired more than 250 new multispecialty physicians and invested tens of millions of dollars into renovating the existing Rockford Memorial Hospital, renamed Javon Bea Hospital Rockton.
