In a deal involving two service agents, Pennsylvania-based K&D Factory Service has acquired Maine-based Pine Tree Food Equipment. Pine Tree will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of K&D Factory Service.

In his new role Heim will lead the efforts of all of the Middleby commercial brands with ventless cooking solutions. His responsibilities will include sales and marketing, new product development and approvals as well as the development of training tools. Heim also will continue in his role as president of Evo America.

Hooters Bought by two Private Investment Firms

Hooters of America is about to get a new nesting spot. That’s because private investment firms Nord Bay Capital and TriArtisan Capital Advisors have agreed to acquire the chain known for its chicken wings from owners H.I.G. Capital, Chanticleer Holdings and other investors. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
