Singer Buys Bresco

Singer Equipment has acquired Bresco, an Alabama-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

BRESCO HRBresco is an Alabama-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer.Bresco will be integrated into Singer H&R, it’s hotel and restaurant division. Singer Equipment acquired Hotel & Restaurant Supply in 2024 and created Singer H&R. George Tobia, Bresco president, will join Singer Equipment to support the integration of the companies, per a release announcing the deal. Tobia was the recipient of FE&S’ Top Achiever – Dealer Award in 1986.

With this acquisition, Singer becomes a more complete solution to our customers and suppliers in the South, with 14 offices in Virginia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.”

In 2025, Singer Equipment reported annual sales of $940 million, making it the fourth largest foodservice equipment and supplies dealer in the country, per FE&S 2026 Distribution Giants study. Bresco reported annual sales of $39.3 million in 2025, making it the 47th largest dealer in the country.

Singer Equipment’s has grown both organically and by acquisition. Singer acquired Kittredge Restaurant Equipment in 2022, Thomspon & Little in 2021, EVI in 2019, Facilities Services in 2017, Ashland Equipment in 2017, and M. Tucker in 2011.

This is the second acquisition of top 100 foodservice equipment and supplies dealers in 2026. In January, Wasserstrom acquired Breckenridge.
